How to choose the best casino game for you

Pick a game by three things: how much it costs you per hour on average, how fast it plays and how much you enjoy it. The cheapest game is no use if you do not like it, and the most exciting one can drain a budget in minutes.

Cost per hour is the house edge times your stake times the number of rounds. A fast slot at €1 a spin can cost more per hour than a slow blackjack table at €5 a hand.

Start with your budget and time

  • Decide how much you will spend in a session and how long you want it to last.
  • Slow games with low edges, such as blackjack and baccarat, make a budget last longest.
  • Fast games, such as slots and speed roulette, burn through a budget quickest.

A worked example

At €2 per spin and 500 spins an hour, a 96% RTP slot costs about €40 an hour on average. At €5 a hand and 60 hands an hour, blackjack at 0.5% costs about €1.50 an hour. Same evening, very different bills.

Our RTP guide explains why the same slot can pay back less at one casino than another.

Responsible gaming

Play only if you are 18+ and it stays fun

These rules apply on every page of this site. A young casino has less history to judge it by, so the limits matter more.

18+ only

Adults only, everywhere

You must be 18 or older, and older in some countries. A casino can ask for ID before your first withdrawal, and new casinos often do.
