How to play new roulette games

Every new roulette game starts from the same wheel and bets. What changes is the payout: multiplier games such as Lightning Roulette pay less on a normal straight-up win so they can fund random multipliers.

Know the base game, then check what each variant adds and what it takes away.

What every wheel shares

  • 37 pockets on a European wheel (0 to 36), 38 on an American wheel with an extra 00.
  • Inside bets on numbers and small groups; outside bets on red or black, odd or even, high or low, dozens and columns.
  • A betting window that closes before the ball drops; in live games a timer shows it.

How a round works

  1. Choose a table and check its minimum and maximum stakes.
  2. Place your chips before the timer ends.
  3. The wheel spins; in multiplier games the lucky numbers appear first.
  4. Winning bets are paid; losing bets are collected.
  5. Set your next bet or leave the table.

Betting strategy

No system beats the zero. The cheapest way to play is the European or French wheel on even-money bets, with La Partage where offered. Systems such as Martingale only change when you win and lose, and can hit the table limit quickly.

Questions

New roulette games: questions

Do multipliers change the 35 to 1 payout?

In Lightning Roulette, yes: straight-up wins pay 29 to 1 unless the number carries a multiplier.

Can I place outside bets in Lightning Roulette?

Yes, and they pay as normal, but they never receive multipliers.

Are the multipliers random?

Yes. They are drawn by a random number generator and covered by the game's tested RTP.

Which roulette game has the best odds?

French roulette with La Partage on even-money bets, at a 1.35% house edge.

Responsible gaming

Play only if you are 18+ and it stays fun

These rules apply on every page of this site. A young casino has less history to judge it by, so the limits matter more.

18+ only

Adults only, everywhere

You must be 18 or older, and older in some countries. A casino can ask for ID before your first withdrawal, and new casinos often do.
